The Bosch VideoJet X10 Rugged Video Encoder (1 Video Input, 80 GB) is a rugged, single-channel video encoder designed for CCTV applications. With its durable metal enclosure, the encoder unit can be safely operated in extreme temperatures range of -22°F to 140°F (-30 to +60 °C). The vibration-resistant encoder device is safe for installation inside public transportation buses and trains, and other vehicles. With 10-30 VDC input, the encoder can be powered on-site using batteries or even solar power.
Using Network Video Recorders (NVRs), the encoder can store and stream videos over the network. The video encoder supports storage devices such as CompactFlash, external USB hard drive, and automotive-grade internal hard drive to store videos. Featuring built-in iSCSI support, the encoder can act like a DVR and stream high-quality live video across the network.
Dual streaming feature allows simultaneous video capture using the MPEG-4 and M-JPEG compression formats. The feature enables recording and viewing video at 2 different quality levels to save bandwidth and storage resources.
With facility to record video independently on different media, the video encoder allows video recording on iSCSI drives (controlled VRM Video Recording Manager) and redundantly on the local media drives. Automatic Network Replenishment is possible in case of a network failure.
Featured convenient recording scheduler offers up to 10 programmable recording profiles and also allows individual assignment of camera profiles. Using these profiles, you can increase the frame rate and alarm resolution, thereby saving considerable disk space during no alarm periods.
Using the Firmware 4.0, the X10 Rugged Video Encoder can use H.264 Baseline Profile to encode the video signal. This enables to increase or decrease the quality settings by adjusting bit rates. The Video Encoder features a wide temperature range power supply, dual-redundant Ethernet network ports, a third SFP network slot with switching capability between the network ports, dual USB ports, and fault-tolerant mass storage via iSCSI.
Built-in Motion+ video motion analysis system is an ideal solution for applications, where examination of basic video content is required. The motion analysis algorithm is based on pixel change, object size filtering capabilities, and advanced tamper-detection capabilities. In conjunction with the IVA (Intelligent Video Analysis), the feature reliably detects, tracks, and analyzes moving objects, while avoiding unwanted alarms from spurious sources in the image. The rugged video encoder is compliant with ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum), which enables exchange and use of information with other network video products to exchange live video, audio, metadata, and control information. Other ONVIF-conformant devices on similar network are automatically detected and connected to video management systems.
The encoder is remotely upgradeable with latest firmware updates. Equipped with many security levels for accessing the network, the camera, and the data channels, the X10 Video Encoder offers enhanced security. There are 3 level-password protection and support for 802.1x authentication. The video encoder has a SSL certificate which ensures secured web browser access by HTTPS. AES encrypted with 128-bit keys (license required) can be used to encrypt video and audio channels separately, providing complete data protection.
