Impact A4236 overview

  • 1Description

The black Light Kit Bag #2 (34 x 13.5 x 12") from Impact makes transporting your lighting kit easy and secure. The bag is designed to hold three monolights along with their reflectors (such as Impact VC500LR), four stands, boom, umbrellas, cables and other support gear but can also be used to hold other lighting equipment instead. You'll have plenty of room to take along enough lighting gear for a portrait session - all packed in an organized and accessible way. A touch fastened divider tray separates the stands, boom and umbrellas from the lights preventing them from bumping together and causing scratches or damage. For additional smaller equipment such as cables and small accessories, there are three interior 10.5 x 8.0" zippered mesh pockets.

The bag is made from soft, padded water-resistant nylon and contains six movable touch fastened interior dividers (6 large, 2 small) that will permit you to configure the bag to accommodate the gear you need that day. The Light Kit Bag is carried by its two 2" wide overlapping top carry handles that can easily be extended into dual shoulder straps. The contents are accessed via dual zippers that when placed together will accept a user-supplied lock. For even more protection, the bottom of the bag contains three rubber feet for when the bag is placed on the ground. And the bag folds down to a quarter of its height for convenient storage and easy setup. Whether for storage or transport, the Impact Light Kit Bag will serve both pro or amateur well.

    Impact A4236 reviews

    Light Kit Bag #2 (34 x 13.5 x 12") is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent lightweight bag From the product photos I was hoping for a more solid sided bag. This is not what I received. This is more of a canvas duffle bag with some foam dividers. It's fine for what I need; a bag for my light stands, LED panels, reflector, power, batteries and chargers. The three zippered mesh pouches are handy for smaller things and the dividers help keep certain items from getting scratched. For the money, I was expecting a little more robust build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product!! This bag is well padded and strong. It was designed very well to maximize protection and the ability to carry many items at once. I carry 2 Impact VSD160's, a Yongnuo 565EX Speedlite, 2 Impact air cushioned 8' light stands, 1 Impact Heavy Duty Air Cushioned 9.5' Light Stand, 2 Photogenic Eclipse 45 Umbrellas, 2 Impact 33 White shoot through umbrellas, a Powersync Transmitter, DC Receiver, AC Receiver, and a Yellow Jacket 6 plug metal surge protector, and there is still room for more! You will be pleased with this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh. I was expecting more. The bag isn't terrible I guess, for the price. The wall construction is a bit flimsier than I'd hoped for a bag this size. The walls are prone to collapsing, especially the lid (if you store stuff in the zipper pockets on the inside of the lid). I didn't like the divider arrangement at all. It comes with 2 shorter height dividers, 2 taller height dividers, and one big panel divider. You can only make 3 smaller compartments, so for the bag size, you can't really organize smaller stuff. The big panel divider effectively creates a false floor, or second entire tier. The problem is the the entire divider has velcro all the way around it, so if you store say your lights in the bottom of the bag, and then have the panel/floor divider on top, and then your light stands on top of everything... you have to remove your light stands, and then unseal the mile of velcro to remove the panel/floor divider to get to the lower level. Really inconvenient. On top of that, the velcro lining on the bag walls is not attached or sewn to the outer bag walls. So dividers pull the flimsy fabric in with it and aren't really attached to the bag wall. Hard to explain. Bottom line, I basically removed all of the dividers and use the bag wide open on the inside for stands. In that regard, it's a decent padded duffle bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent bag for the price - holds 3 or 4monolights/stands For the price, it is really a 6 star bag, but if you are looking for something with more pro-quality, sturdiness, etc., this may not be the bag that lasts you 5 years. If you are a serious amateur or you are a pro that is careful with bags and their contents, the bag will work very well for you. The interior capacity is amazing. I have 3 monolights, 3 power cables, 3 reflectors, an AC power inverter, three umbrella stands and three umbrellas in the bag and there is still room for more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's like Impact was reading my mind! I recently purchased several AlienBee Strobe Lights and had no way of transporting them. I had to shove them into backpacks and makeshift cases. This Impact case however is perfect! It fits four of my strobe lights, wires and matching stands comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed First off... the people that are complaining that the bag is lightweight and they thought it would be more substantial.... well, that's just plain silly. You're buying a lightweight canvas bag that is functional for packing and transporting and storing lighting gear. It's not a hard shell and it's not something you can throw around. But, if you need something to transport a fair amount of gear that lets you configure and customize the bag, then for the price, this is an excellent bag and does the job just fine. I've configured this bag to hold 4 of my Elinchrom 600RX lights, several reflectors, speed rings, power cords and assorted doodads and that's fantastic. This means that 2 of these bags lets me more all my lights from studio to studio in an organized way. If you know what you're buying, you'll be satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Haul Everything! This bag is a beast - holds my AB800s, stands, modifiers, and remote triggers with room to spare. Fully loaded - it's not for the faint of heart, but makes the trip effiicient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome bag I was a bit concerned since there were no other reviews on B&H on this bag and doubly concerned after reading so many negative reviews on other bags of similar price. Have no fear -- this is an awesome, well-made bag! First, it is huge -- not necessarily a good thing, though, because I was able to put so much of my lighting equipment in this bag that now I need a cart to carry it on location! (but it is still better than multiple bags, though)note: guys may not have a problem, but I'm a female and not very strong :-) What sold me on this bag was that the desription said it was padded -- that was a requirement; especially after reading other reviews that their bags were essentially limp duffle-bags. The padding is incredible! It keeps the bag in shape, but it is still flexible enough for 'expansion'. Another concern that I had was that it might be poorly constructed -- NOT! The zipper is heavy-duty as are the straps -- which has extra padding for lifting (you'll need it). My only concern about the quality and question whether it will hold up is the material in the inside that is designed to allow the velcro dividers to stick to it. I would recommend if you are going to use the dividers (I decided to instead use them as additional padding on the bottom and sides--but not that it needed it, but my gear just did not lend itself for dividers -- although at the time that I read it, it seemed like a great feature) is to make your decision where you want the dividers early on and keep them there. The velcro is so tough I would be concerned that in time it will tear the inner material that it sticks to, which seems a bit thin. The outer shell, on the other hand, is heavy duty and appears to be excellent quality and I have no doubt it will last many years -- unless you abuse your bags, then maybe it won't last that long. Overall, this is an awesome bag --and it looks sharp (better than the photo, in my opinion) and I would not hesitate to recommend it! I'm glad I took the chance. :-)
