I needed to control the zoom on my Sony HXR-NX30 camera. I have an older Manfrotto zoom control handle that had to be connected to the camera via an AV-R to LANC cable. I bought this cable after purchasing a similar one for half the price. That one didn't work and I had to return it. This one, from Manfrotto, worked as charm and I am really pleased.
I have a Sony 96GB HXR-NX30 that I do handheld shots with or mounted on a crane/mini jib. This cable works perfect every time. I bought two of of them, one for each setup. Depending on the location where the cable is plugged in to the camera, pay particular attention to cable stress. This end of the cable could be damaged easily.
