To get the best from your digital camera, use a gray card to accurately set white balance. WhiBal's G7 White Balance Pocket Card is an extremely accurate, convenient gray card that fits in a shirt pocket, and can be used in any shooting situation. It can also be used to set neutral White and Black reference areas for setting dynamic range in digital capture using the Black and White Eyedroppers available within Lightroom and other RAW conversion software, Photoshop and most other editing software.

By photographing a gray card reference for each lighting situation, you'll be able to achieve a proper white balance for all of your pictures. The gray card reference picture can be used with software to balance the color casts that various lighting conditions produce with all digital cameras.

Does this fit in the credit card slot of a wallet?
Asked by: Kerrick
Yes, it will fit "most" wallets. Some wallets have smaller credit card slots which is beyond me.

Why is it so small??
Asked by: Lee
All you need for white balance measurement is a small spot - and this card is perfect! Also - It's called a White Balance "Pocket Card" because it small enough to carry around.

question

My canon xti 400D says to use a sheet of white paper. Will this enhance my white balance even more or throw it off since it's gray?
Asked by: nomakz
In Live View and with the Histogram active on your camera's LCD, aim and move the camera over the white surface (i.e. wall, etc) until the collection of graphical vertical bars are in the centre of the histogram. The tighter the width along the x-axis of the group of bars the closer your reading will be to a true grey card. This method may take more time, but try it if you don't have a grey card handy. If you do have a grey card, take it to your paint store and grab a couple of free flat or eggshell finished paint chip cards matching the grey card and keep it in your wallet or camera bag for emergency use. By all means, buy the WhiBal reference card which is as close to accuracy as one can achieve. I have the 3.5 x 6" version and it works for my purposes.
