The Equinox HD8 Underwater Housing with Canon XF100 HD Professional Camcorder is a durable polyvinyl carbonate waterproof housing with a Canon XF100 HD Professional Camcorder. The housing enables you to safely shoot underwater with your camera to a depth of 250' (76.2 m). It has near-neutral buoyancy at approximately 33' (10 m). An included internal drop-in 58mm color correction filter helps to restore some of the colors that are lost underwater, to give you a rich, full color palette for your videography. A wide-angle lens is included with this housing. The BRS / Ballast Release System serves a dual purpose: Easy travel and fast transport to the surface, should you run into trouble during your underwater video adventure. Simply pull on the quick release pin on one of the wings and the wing and ballast/handle both are released; the housing now becomes positive in buoyancy and shoots to the surface.

The Canon XF100 HD Professional Camcorder boasts a 1/3" 1920 x 1080 CMOS Sensor, a DIGIC DV III Image Processor and a 3.5" 920K-dot resolution LCD monitor. Another crucial ingredient in this recipe for excellent image quality is the 10x HD Video Lens. The camcorder records at 50Mbps, shoots 1920 x 1080 HD video and has an HDMI Output for easy connectivity to your HDTV.
