    Native Instruments 21066 reviews

KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 - USB 2.0 Digital Audio Interface is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid audio interface I got the Komplete 6 to primarily use it to record my DJ sets for promotional use. I know I could have bought the NI Audio 2 to do that, however, I have been thinking about getting into production as well and and the purchase of Komplete 6 was the first step in that direction. Setup was a breeze and it works just as expected under Soundforge. I've also tested it with Traktor 2 and Ableton and found no issues. It is built very solidly, there's no play when plugging the cables or using the knobs, it feels like it will last a pretty long time. It comes bundled with a host of audio production software, which is a very nice touch on NI's part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oustanding interface Purchased this interface mostly since I've started to play keyboard and guitar again and I got guitar rig 5 pro free besides the usual included software. Leds on top changes color to let you know when you're to hot, Pro quality sound, all connections are balanced, if you buy it, you won't be sorry. Got reminded once more why I should'nt even look at other DAW's than my absolute favorite REAPER since I (like an idiot) decided to check the included Cow bajs (cowpoo in Swenglish :). 30 Days to register? So why would this J-ware ask me for a Lic#? It immediately went the same place Blow Tools and SampliNude is, in the trash, especially since Reaper is the most powerful and stable Daw in the known Universe...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best audio interface for under $300 This audio interface is amazing! I use it for my Yamaha HS8s, and to record vocals/guitar. Pure sound and has the perfect amount of inputs, headphone, MIDI interface etc...even has a button to switch monitoring to mono which is immensely helpful for mixing and testing how your music will sound on club systems/iPhones and so on. Beautiful design, big volume knob, & lights for which inputs/outputs are being used. Highly recommend this interface - sounds great, and looks awesome in my studio!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, stable and nicelooking First of all, I've only used it for 2 weeks. But it has worked like a charm! I run Live and Guitar Rig 5 Pro at the same time on a live gig and it works flawlessly (as of now). Very happy! I've also done some quick mixes on it, and recorded several tracks for an album. The latency is really low for me (15.2ms), and with the monitoring I can keep up with those lossy times. THe only bad thing is that u can't assign monitors for all channels. I do it in Live or any other DAW though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid audio appliance, works a charm. For my needs this unit works marvellously well. It is solidly built and works straight out of the box. The included Cubase Software and the Complete Audio package makes this an all around complete interface solution. It enhanced the gain and volume on my dynamic microphone, and was an especially good intermediary input device for my large diaphragm microphone which required phantom power. Pleased and satisfied with this purchase. Shipped quickly and was reasonably priced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for small home studio I use the Native Komplete 6 interface with my JBL LSR305's and i couldn't be any happier with the quality. This is perfect for anyone who simply wants to record vocals and maybe an instrument or two such as guitar or bass. All the extra software it comes with also is a big plus, a big reason as to why i got it. it comes with tractor for djing and Cubase as a DAW if you don't have any and also komplete elements 6. what more could you want for the price?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive Soundcard and Software The sound quality of this device is pretty impressive, but I've only used it as an output device to a pair of studio monitors so I can't provide feedback on recording. It is heavy enough to where it feels sturdy, and the whole device feels solid. The knobs are rubber coated and are easy to adjust to the right level. The top knob is extremely convenient and similar to the Apogee Duet. Its texture makes it easier to turn. The device was a lot better than I expected and the only problem I have is that there is no optional external power source. It isn't necessary, but it would be nice to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Sound, Great Pre's This is my 3rd interface after owning both a Pre Sonus USB and a Focusrite Saffire 6. While those were decent interfaces, the Komplete 6 beats them out across the board. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and the sound is unbeatable; I play through 2 KRK Rokit 6: clean, and clear. I also haven't yet gotten any interference sounds, clicking or popping that I would sometimes get with the others. The pre amps I haven't worn in to much yet, but I have recorded a little from a Martin acoustic/electric so I could see how clean the sound records and I was very impressed. Focusrite claims to have award winning pre amps (which is probably true) but still did not sound near as good as Komplete's.There is also a separate Control Panel controlled from your computer, which monitors in real time, the latency (if any) and eliminates it. If there is latency, a red box displays telling you what you should do to get rid of it. I mean, there is ZERO latency. ZERO! You can also change sample rates (96000 Hz max) and process buffers from here that will also change in your DAW you are using. (At least it changes for you in Ableton) Other controls in this panel include: Digital Sync Source, Direct Monitoring, Drop-Out Detection, Connection Monitor, System Performance Test (latency detection), and Infomation (telling you what driver you have and a guide for troubleshooting)Aside from those things, the look and design is very slick and unique to any other interface I've seen. Very solid feeling and compact with a modern looking LED display and giant dial volume on top. The in/out indicate exactly when it's receiving a signal. So if you are tapping a key on your MIDI device, the green LED is flashing along in real time, which I know, is not important or necessary, but it's a cool feature. All knobs are free moving as well. I can't stand volume/gain knobs that are set to move in small increments. Drives me crazy. The smooth moving giant volume knob is my favorite aesthetic feature.Overall: great buy, well worth the money. I would say this is the best USB interface for less. You might get better sound with a top end MOTU or something, but if your funds are limited and you need a great interface that will last you a long time, then this is the one for you.I honestly can't say enough good things about this. I wish I would've just spent the little extra money at the beginning for this interface, instead of going through the first 2.
