The Apex Mini Bean Bag (Realtree Max-4) is a compact, water-resistant bean bag that can support lenses up to 500mm, while shooting on safari or just from your backyard porch. The bean bag is designed to go on a car door, window sill, or a tree branch and photograph from that position. The bag eliminates the use of heavy aluminum or plastic window mounts.
The mini bean bag can be inverted to provide stability on a flat surface, by placing the telephoto lens between the bean bag legs, which are covered by a high-tack finish. The bag comes with an aluminum plate with an integrated 3/8"-16 threaded screw at the top, so a ball or gimbal head can be attached to it. The tripod plate can be removed from the bean bag when a tripod head is not in use and the bean bag is used in the more traditional manner. The bean bag has a fill zipper which is protected by a weather-resistant flap. With the fill zipper open you can fill the bag with any material. (The bean bag comes empty.)
