question

will this work to connect a Mamiya 55mm 1.8 lens M42 to an Olympus OMD EM1?
Asked by: Anonymous
Just make sure the lens that you have is threaded. 'M42' refers to the adapter accepting a 42mm diameter (Male) threaded lens. the M4/3 part works perfectly into the camera. If the above corresponds to the type of lens attachment you have, it should work OK.Please note that with such an adapter, you will loose the autofocus and automatic control of the lens' aperture. I am also quite certain that image stabilization does not work either. You will be able to take pictures in Manual mode, including bracketing. Automatic mode also works - for me anyway. Despite these matters, if the lens is good, the images will be superb. I have attached a 55mm f1.8 Pentax lens on my EM-5 and images are bright and sharp. Good Luck!

question

Will this adapter allow a Krasnogorsk screw mount lens to be affixed to a Blackmagic pocket cinema camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
As long as the Krasnogorsk lens you have has the M42 screw mount, and not the Russian Bayonet mount, you could use the Dot Line Micro Four Thirds Adapter for Pentax M42 Lenses to attach your lens to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera
