Shining Technology CitiDISK HDV Digital Video Recorder (160GB)

The Shining Technology CitiDISK HDV Digital Video Recorder (160GB) uses the FireWire interface allowing tapeless video acquisition direct to the hard drive. Footage from HDV/DV camcorder tapes is converted into formats compatible with NLE (non-linear editing systems). Video clips from the camcorder are stored in either DV, AVI, MOV, or M2T formats in a pre-formatted FAT32 hard drive while HDV streams are always stored in M2T format, even if other settings are selected.
