I have a manfrotto MT290XTA3-2WUS aluminum tripod. I want to know if this (Manfrotto R055,399 ASM sleeve) spare part will work
Asked by: Javier
No, the Manfrotto R055.399 ASM Sleeve is not compatible with the MT290XTA32WUS. An appropriate part is the Manfrotto R150,12C01 Assembly Sleeve, BH # MAASMBLYSLV. https://bhpho.to/3Wvs1jr

I just ordered a leg collar for my Manfrotto ...

I just ordered a leg collar for my Manfrotto monopod 680. Awaiting delivery, I am trying to understand how to remove and replace the new collar. Any hints? Thank you
Asked by: Salvatore
I am guessing you plan on using the Manfrotto R055.399 ASM Sleeve to replace the bottom leg lock. There are 2 screws on the sleeve. One has the flip lock, and the other is clamped around the leg. Loosen the clamp to remove the sleeve and take off the leg. Reverse the process to put on the new sleeve. Make sure not to tighten the clamp more than necessary.

question

What is the inner diameter of both ends of this clamp?
Asked by: Anonymous
I don't know? I don't have a micrometer to measure it. I did my best guess to see if it would be a replacement clamp for one that broke on a different tripod than Manfrotto. It didn't fit after receiving it. It was for the smallest diameter leg of my tripod. In my opinion, the graphic that's used for trying to select the size of the clamp is VERY POORLY done. It's only a grid and it's not even a direct orthographic relationship . The grid was orthographic, but the photo is a perspective view. It was a waste of money for me. Good luck.
