Canon XF100 HD Professional Camcorder with Light & Extended Power Kit

This Canon XF100 HD Professional Camcorder with Extended Power Kit from B&H packages the amazingly small yet full-featured XF100 camcorder with an on-camera LED light, a high-capacity, professional battery, and an accompanying charger from Switronix.

The very compact camcorder features a genuine Canon 10x HD lens and a native 1920 x 1080 1/3" CMOS chip. It records high-bit-rate 50 Mb/s 4:2:2 MPEG-2 files to dual CompactFlash card slots, and as such its output is extremely friendly to professional postproduction workflows that involve color correction, effects, and perhaps intercutting with footage from larger-sensor cameras. Other broadcast-level features include genlock and SMPTE time code, and the XF100 also has several features that make it a suitable choice to comprise half of a stereoscopic 3D rig.

For most professional productions, any camcorder's OEM battery just won't fit the bill. For that reason this kit packages a 70Wh / 4.8Ah Switronix battery that can mount underneath the XF100. The battery also powers the kit's on-camera 18W LED light, which beams the equivalent of 100W daylight (5600K). The included PowerBase charger replenishes the battery pack in 4-5 hours.
