Spreader parts are doing their thing, as expected. Came with no instructions - but it's pretty simple to install. The design of the tripod suggests this will not be the last time a spreader arm could snap (one of my 13 yr old sons was helping collapse the tripod when he forced it a bit too much - snap!).
Fragile

I have no love for Manfrotto products, as I've had to buy several sets of these for several of our tripods over the years. The metal that goes into these is fragile--I'm more prone to Libec, Matthews, and Benro tripods--which will be brands I buy when I finally get to retire the Manfrottos. Steer clear of Manfrotto tripods--there are better brands out there.
