The Manfrotto 528XB Heavy-Duty Tripod with 509HD Professional Video Head Kit from B&H pairs a two-section, single-stage aluminum & stainless-steel tripod with a pro video fluid head to form a camera support system that holds up to 28.7 lb and reaches a maximum height of 65.3".
The legs themselves hold up to 110 lb; so if you need extreme weight support for an alternative setup (for example, attaching a jib arm), the 528XB tripod has you covered. The 509HD head features four steps of counterbalance, an Advanced Balancing Recorder, and a long sliding plate to achieve precise balance with full-sized camcorders. The head also features a variable fluid drag system to control action & resistance for both its -60° to +90° tilt and its 360° pan.
With a maximum load capacity of 110 lbs, the Manfrotto 528XB Heavy Duty Tripod is built to handle really heavy loads, and ideal for supporting camera jib arms. Despite its obvious strength, however, a close inspection reveals that this tripod offers quite a bit of brains and good looks to go along with its brawn.
The 528XB incorporates a fully adjustable mid-level spreader, which features telescopic ratchet braces that click into place in each of the preset positions for faster deployment. It also features an industry-standard 100mm bowl to accept 100mm half-ball video heads, and reversible leg ends which have rubber feet as well as stainless-steel spikes, for use in virtually any environment.
The Manfrotto 509HD Professional Video Head supports professional video camera systems weighing up to 29 lb. A four-step counterbalance mechanism ensures optimum balance and helps for quick setup. The tripod head features ergonomic adjustments and Easy Link connectors, and it uses lightweight PVC-free materials in its components. Featuring bridging technology with a ball bearing drag system, this tripod head offers professional-quality stability as well as precise, smooth movements.
A unique Advance Balancing Recorder (ABR) feature can record the perfect balanced position for your camera equipment so that the position can be recalled later on. This electronic ABR feature reduces the time needed for setting up and balancing your camera system on the tripod head.
