The External Mercury Pro 12x Blu-ray Combo Drive has a USB 2.0 port, an eSATA port, a FireWire 400 port and two FireWire 800 ports

The External Mercury Pro 12x Blu-ray Combo Drive can write up to 50GB of data or high definition video per Blu-ray disc at speeds of up to 12x
Plug & Play
The External Mercury Pro 12x Blu-ray Combo Drive has Plug & Play capabilities. This allows it to work instantly with software programs, such as Apple iDVD, Apple iTunes, Apple DiscBurner and Roxio Toast Titanium 9
Note:
Apple software currently does not support Blu-ray or HD-DVD drives, but the DVD and CD burning/reading portions of the OS do function. It is expected a future release of the OS will add HD support and the ability to display HD video
