Kramer PT-572 Overview

The Kramer HDMI over Twisted Pair Receiver is used to receive HDMI signals sent over a twisted pair cable. Supporting a maximum data rate of up to 1.65Gbps, the receiver supports HDMI v1.4 with 3D, Deep Color, x.v.Color, HDMI uncompressed audio channels, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, and 3D Pass-through. Converting the twisted pair cable signal back to DVI, the receiver offers a maximum range of up to 330’ (100m) for 1080i or up to 256’ (80m) for 1080p resolutions using the shielded BC-DGKat723 cable.

With EDID PassThru, the Twisted Pair Receiver passes the EDID/HDCP signals from source to display for avoiding compatibility issues with the connected display. The Power Connect System allows both the transmitter and the receiver to be powered with a single connection when the units are within 270’ (90m) of each other. The transmitter requires a 12V DC power supply (included) for operation, and features LED indicators that light red when receiving power only, orange when output and power are attached, and yellow when both an active input and an output are attached. In addition, 4 units can be mounted side-by-side in 1U rack space with the optional RK-4PT rack adaptor.

I have several pairs of PT-571/PT-572+ transmitter/receivers. They work the first time... every time. Picture and sound are great. Very little delay. I have cable lengths as long as 250 feet.

Work great and is well built and very small. I'm using this with the Kramer PT-572+ transmitter that unfortunately you must purchase separate.

Need to send video over distances greater than the limits of HDMI? Look no further... just make sure you buy it with the transmitter.

Used in a church sanctuary to send HDMI long distances and does it job. The green/orange/red indicator is very handy as well as the surface mounting hardware.

Works perfectly!

This Receiver/Transmitter pair really just makes a long (up to 295ft) HDMI cable. Nothing to 'install' as much as just 'plug in'. You'll need an HDMI cable at each end - plan accordingly. Use shielded cable!

Work right out of the box. I would buy again.

We needed this for a church set up. We are running a video camera and to get the HDMI signal back to the booth we tried these out. Our church also uses a rec/tran pair to get HDMI up to our projector. Kramer makes good sturdy products this is no exception. This is the Receiver you do need to purchase the Transmitter PT-571 to make a pair. Both come with a power supply you only need to power one end. This did work just fine with a pre-made 100 foot cat5 cable. If I was going longer distance I would make sure to use cat6 cable. Good Luck... Rob

Check your length

Did not work for me. Check your cable specs and compare to linear max of box. I was pushing to the max length for grade of cable and never could get a signal. I used the Extron 330's without problem, but they are twice the price. Trying to save money didn't work for me. If you are well within the range and not at He outer limits I'm Shute the box would work fine, as Kramer is a great company with many great products

question

Please, how many units can be attached in daisy chain?
Asked by: Raul
Hi Raul, I don't have a technical answer for this, perhaps best asked of Kramer themselves. However, I would ask why you would want to daisy chain multiple units together. In terms of electrically, these units only convert from HDMI to CAT5, and then back again, so there is no intelligence in them at all, ie, they don't decode EDID, so in theory, I would suspect you could daisy chain a few units together without any issues. But don't quote me on it!Cheers, Sean
