The Kramer ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher (9-Input) with ethernet control and speaker outputs is used to upscale or downscale the composite, S-Video (Y/C), component video (YUV), HDMI, computer graphics video and JPEG files to a selectable computer graphics video or HDTV output resolution. This output signal is simultaneously available on an HDMI connector and 2 (15-pin) HD computer graphics video connectors.
It supports HDTV output resolutions up to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p.
Embedded with the Silicon Optix HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processing, the ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher offers high-quality de-interlacing, noise reduction, and scaling performance for standard-definition and high-definition signals. With the FTB (Fade-thru-Black) switching technology, the switcher offers smooth transition between sources by fading out 1 video input to black, and the new input fades in from black. Meanwhile the output signal provides constant sync so the display never glitches, and allows for smooth operation.
The ProScale Presentation Scaler features a picture-in-picture (PiP) inserter that uses the K-IIT XL image insertion technology to view video and graphic sources simultaneously on the same window. It allows you to insert as well as align any video source next to a computer graphics video source or vice versa, with window positioning and sizing controls. Using the Projector Anywhere technology, the switcher offers horizontal and vertical geometry controls to compensate for off-axis projector placement.
Being HDCP (High-definition Content Protection) compliant, the 9-Input Scaler/Switcher prevents unauthorized tampering of HDMI output, and transfers signals to the preferred HDMI output. The Switcher supports multiple aspect ratio options such as 4:3 / 16:9, anamorphic, letter box, and user-definable settings. You can use a Companion audio-follow-video option for analog video inputs to simultaneously switch the audio and video signals.
A built-in video Proc-Amp allows you to alter display settings such as color, hue, sharpness, noise, contrast, and brightness for each input, and a built-in audio Proc-Amp supports bass, treble, balance and loudness control, and audio delay. A built-in time base connector stabilizes video sources with unstable sync. The ProScale Presentation Scaler includes a digital noise reduction feature to provide high-quality videos by reducing artifacts such as block, chroma and mosquito noise.
The ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher supports audio inputs including 6 balanced or S/PDIF audio (each selectable) on terminal blocks, 1 for each of the 2 universal video and 4 computer graphics video inputs. In addition, the scaler provides support for audio outputs including stereo speaker, S/PDIF (RCA) and balanced stereo audio (terminal blocks).
Equipped with a non-volatile memory, the ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher can store the last settings for future reference. Unauthorized tampering of switcher configurations can be prevented via the front-panel lockout. Mountable on a standard 19” rack mount, the scaler is ideal for use in conference rooms, boardrooms, hotels, auditoriums, and production studios.
