The Kramer Electronics MultiTOOLS PS-1DVI DVI Power Supply supplies 5V DC power to long DVI cables in configurations that don't supply the standard 5V power from the DVI graphics card.
Optical DVI cables, such as Kramer's C-FODM/FODM-328, require 5V internal power supplied through DVI pin number 14 from the graphics card. When the computer system is not capable of supplying 500mA, the PS-1DVI intercedes to provide power to the cable's transmitter/receiver modules. The PS-1DVI comes with a 5V DC adapter and a DVI copper cable.
Allows you to join two DVI-D or DVI-I signal cables even when the graphics card cannot supply the required power for the extension cables
