DigiEffects' SnowStorm Effect for Delirium v2 Special Effects Package allows you to simulate a realistic winter storm with complete control over the snowfall. You can customize the fall pattern of the snow along with its direction to provide a smooth or random chaotic motion. Simulating gentle snowfall or heavy blizzards is easy by using the intensity, direction, size, and pile up controls provided by the SnowStorm Effect for Delirium v2 Special Effects Package.
With the Pile Up Mode controls, you can either prevent your simulated snow from piling up or select the way it should pile up; either on the bottom, on the first vertical pixel detected in the alpha channel or the image, or on alpha. You can use the Pile Up Threshold to cut off the darker parts of the areas that the snow can pile upon. Starting the snowfall even before the clip starts is possible via the Preroll Frames control.
You can use the Snow Generate control to specify how much snow would be created per frame and then use the Min Size, Max Size, Min Opacity, and Max Opacity controls to modify various aspects of the snowfall. Random motion of individual snowflakes is controlled via the Lilt control that also allows you to customize the lilt amount and frequency.
The Gravity control determines how fast the snowflakes will fall to the ground. Snowfall can be further controlled via the vertical and horizontal wind controls. Controlling the Gust Probability, Gust Max Duration, and Gust Max Speed determines the motion of the snow due to gusts of wind.
You can easily preview the effect without rendering via the AutoAnimate feature and use it with a wide variety of editing applications on Windows and Mac operating systems.
