The PAG Rack-Mountable Charger (4 x PAGlok / Parallel Charger) is a 4-channel simultaneous fast-charger with 4 XLR4 to PAGlok battery connectors that is designed for PAG Li-Ion and Ni-MH batteries, and charges 4 fully discharged L95e batteries in 6.5 hours. PAG intelligent parallel charging software ensures efficient use of the current for fast automatic charging, to deliver up to 6 A at 16.8 V (approx. 100 W power).
Offering protection against short circuit and excess battery voltage, the Rack-Mountable Charger’s recovery program automatically identifies low voltage Li-ion batteries and initiates a low charge current until the voltage rises to accept the normal charge current. An LCD display indicates each stage of the charging process.
Enhanced charging technology offers extended battery life, and the Rack-Mountable Charger measures 1U high and can be mounted in a half-width racking system. With the help of the connecting plates, 2 units can be mounted in a side-by-side configuration in a full width 19” rack. A bespoke mounting-board enables the connectors to fit vertically inside the OB (outside broadcasting) vehicle.
An XLR4 connector can be used to charge Li-ion batteries manufactured by PAG when connected to the Rack-Mountable Charger. The Rack-Mountable Charger is lightweight (4 lb / 1.8 kg).and compact size (8.3 x 7.9 x 1.7” / 210 x 201 x 44 mm), and is suitable for use in outside broadcast vehicles and workshop environments.
