The Ilford Multigrade Art 300 Paper is a traditional silver gelatin black and white printing paper featuring a textured matte surface with an eggshell sheen. It has a cool paper base with a warm image tone and differs from Ilford FB baryta-based papers by exhibiting shorter final wash times and easier handling due to its 300gsm weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful texture and beautiful highlights and shadows Makes beautiful darkroom prints...texture is gorgeous...selenium tones beautifully. Color shift goes to a pretty reddish brown if left in on purpose...archival selenium tones brings out highlight detail...it's luxurious... Only complaint about it other than being expensive (but worth it) is that it dents and dog ears at the corners, particularly when washed too long or handled alot during processing...you will sometimes have to wait for longer development times up to six minutes to bring in full highlight details and you need to fix for a minimum of 3 minutes...but it's worth it!!! I'd prefer a whiter base since I'm a fan of cool tone, but the texture has so won me over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this paper I'm using the 11x14 paper to print my prints for exhibit, some hand colored. The paper is a little easier to work with than standard fiber paper. The finish, texture and the tones are outstanding. Some people talk about the shiny or sparkly finish being a problem, i find it gives a 3d effect to my images, especially faces. I've been hand coloring them with polychromos pencils and It is a pleasure to work with and the results are stunning. I'm using photographers formuly 130 developer which enhances the tones and gives a nice warm color. I have also read about people having problems with staining, I had one sheet go bad, but I think I figured it out, the paper floats, you must make sure the surface of the paper is below the surface of the fix, or when you turn on the white light, you get a funny blue stain from fogging! I really like this paper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Rich Blacks Produces beautiful prints with real warmth and depth. I find it great for portraits, in particular. Once dry, the paper is easier to flatten than FB and has a beautiful, subtly textured surface that avoids strong reflections. It is more delicate that FB paper when wet but is less prone to creasing. It is more buoyant in water due to its lower density that FB, however the Art300 paper is thicker and feels high quality. I have been using in 8 x 10 size and now using in 11 x 14.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astoundingly beautiful The ART 300 paper has a look to it that's perfect for my pictorial projects and night photography, with superb tonality and a texture heightening tooth to the surface. I don't need to dry mount this paper either, as it lies flat. I'm hooked!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My absolute favorite paper This paper is the best I've ever used for printing ancient architecture and ghost towns in Montana in black and white. Also tones extremely well. It reacts beautifully to 2nd pass lith. While expensive, it's worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best black and white paper! This is by far the best black and white paper on the market. It is cotton based rather than fiber based and has superb results. It is more expensive than fiber based paper but for your final prints there is no comparison.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful paper I used this paper for a project in my Black and White film class and the paper is beautiful! It has kind of a warm tone to it. The finish and quality is perfect! LOVED the texture of it. It has that nice sturdiness to it.
