Simplis Quick Release System is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I use this with the Cinevate rail system. I chose this over the Zacuto DSRL base plate system. The Cinevate system is solid as a rock, which is what I wanted. I use a Manfrotto plate which is perfect, means I don't have to swap out plates when I move to a different system. The Zacuto system was unsteady (not solid), too tall. I could not use a Manfrotto plate, it only works with the Zacuto system parts. This release plate pops straight up - easy to make lens changes, too. I use this with a Genus Matte Box and Redrock Follow Focus Blue. Be aware if you use this configuration you'll need a riser for the Matte Box and works beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Perfect I love the top mount design. Camera plate catches and locks in a snap.(but always check its lever is push in) I no longer have to fiddle with sliding camera plate design. I'm one person shooter and just love the speed moving from sticks to high hat, jib, slider, and hand held. Will be purchuasing a couple more. Just Perfect

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Incomplete! The Simplis came in a Cinevate box with 2 allen wrenches and absolutely no screws.... thus making it completely useless out of the box (unless you happen to already own the right 1/4 screws). You have to mount the Simplis to SOMETHING.... but you are unable to as shipped. I have many other Cinevate products none of which had the right screws. Contacted Cinevate who shifted blame to B&H and said it should have shipped with 1/4 screws. They said they would send directly to me which they haven't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking to organize a mounting system? Great place to start! Excellent for mounting multiple things with ease. I use the a9 with a smallHD monitor and an H6 zoom recorder together mounted off of this platform and find it very easy. Well made, long-lasting metal build. A bit heavy and pricey but worth it because it will last years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Secure The vertical attachment and release works great and makes setting up my various rigs a lot easier. It has several mounting options so fit my rails perfectly. Mine came with 1/4-20 screws but they were too long for my rails. I could have cut them down but it's easier to just go to the local hardware store. It allows a bit more fore and aft adjustment than the Manfrotto 577 QR this is replacing. It's a little heavier than the Manfrotto but not enough that I notice it in my pack with all the other gear I carry. Those that have a hard time opening it are likely over tightening or have it improperly adjusted. When it snaps closed it only needs light pressure to fully secure. It would be nice if there was a little bend in the end of the lever so that you could get a finger or thumb in there a little easier. The only shortcoming from my point of view is that it's a bit taller than I would prefer. It doesn't affect anything performance wise but adds a little weight and makes my rail rig a little larger in the pack. I wish it was a little cheaper but I don't regret the purchase at all. I'll likely get another with my next order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design. The primary use of this for me was to add a couple articulate arms and use for a small video rig. It works great for this. The constructions is top notch. I also used it to mount to a Redrock Micro rig to make it quick to swap out my DSLR from the rig. Although it is pricey I do think it is worth it. The fact that this works similar to a still mount by allowing the camera to pop off the top it makes it easy to get the camera in and out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice plate Thought it comes with 2 accessory mount but it didnt. Had to purchase the 1/4 20 thread accessory mount from RAM and it was 50% cheaper than cinvate offers. overall I love this baseplate as it gives you a lot of space to mount for run n gun. In the begining I thought the quick mount wasnt secure, but it proved me wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says.. I use this with my glidecam plate and rail system. I really liked that it took the plate that I have used for 5 different rigs that I've consolidated with different quick-releases/tripods.
