Bosch MIC500 Overview

The Bosch MIC 500 Professional PTZ Camera (36x, White), with a 1/4" EXview CCD image sensor, 36x optical zoom, and a 3.4mm (wide) to 122.4mm (tele) varifocal lens, delivers clear images at a resolution up to 520 TVL. A minimum illumination of 0.1 lux makes the camera suitable for low-light surveillance.

Automatic Gain Control adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level. Backlight Compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. Featuring Auto White Balance, the MIC 500 camera adjusts the red and blue signals by taking a standard white color reference to get the most natural colors.

With the optically-flat viewing window and integrated silicone wiper and heater, the MIC 500 PTZ Camera ensures sharp and vivid images captured in even the most challenging conditions. The IP68-rated waterproof, vandal-resistant housing has a solid aluminum construction to protect it against physical attack. In addition, the housing prevents dust ingress and enables the camera to withstand prolonged periods of immersion under water.

Brushless motor technology enables smooth operation with 360° continuous pan rotation and 267° tilt control. The 36x PTZ camera allows for small increment pan/tilt speeds ranging from 0.2°/sec to 120°/sec for accuracy. Further, the speed control function is significant when used with video analytic systems, mainly for tracking subjects when fully zoomed in.

Using the on-screen menus, you can set up the camera from the control room via a remote keyboard. The camera supports a wide range of control systems and protocols. Preset positions, preset tours, and random tours offer enhanced flexibility in surveillance operations.

Incorporated with privacy card, the camera allows you to mask over 900 individual zones, with a choice of mask styles, making it ideal for use in high density residential applications. The twist-lock canting functionality allows the camera to be canted on a pole at 45°, enabling the base of the pole to be viewed. Besides, the camera can be installed upright, inverted, or canted to achieve accurate field-of-view.

The MIC 500 Professional PTZ Camera is suitable for use in town centers, ANPR systems, vandalism prone areas, prestigious development areas, and for rapid deployment, high security, broadcast, marine/costal, and architectural applications.
