This Windscreen Is The Real Deal. It Fits My Sennheiser 418 Perfectly, And Withstands My Less-than-gentle Handling. I Take The Microphone With Me On Road Trips In A Simple Plastic Grocery Bag With Cables, And The Old One Had Gotten Incredibly Crumbly. This One Should Last Another 20 Years No Problem.

I tried replacing my deteriorating Windscreen with a lower cost, non Sennheiser brand screen. The quality/fit was good, but it altered the sound so much. It muddied the high end to the point of not wanting to use it at all. Happy to spend the money to get original brand. This should last another 10 years now.
