An expensive way to solve a simple problem

They work very well. They have clear, crisp sound. My problem is that I have a hearing loss, and it's very bad in the higher frequencies. So I needed a way to boost the high treble sounds. I also need the boost of speakers, because my headphones are not loud enough with just the computer volume turned all the way up. My old inexpensive speakers had a tone control so I could boost the treble and compensate. They quit, so I had to find a replacement. You'd think finding speakers with a tone control would be simple. It isn't. These seem to have gone out of style. So I had to do some searching to find a solution. This was the least expensive I could find. They're larger than I expected. I had to put them on the floor. They require power. I wasn't expecting that. Providing power to that side of the room wasn't easy, but I found a solution. It should not be so doggone expensive! I would recommend these speakers to anyone who wants decent speakers that work with PC, and can be plugged in without hassle. They require a bit of assembly but nothing too serious. If you have a hearing loss like mine, this is a good solution. But as I said, it is expensive for folks on a limited budget. Other than that, they have a pleasing design, and unlike what other folks have said, the control knobs are not hard to use. Hopefully, these will last me the rest of my life.

Fabulous!

The Creative Labs speakers are used with a Korg Multi/Poly synthesizer. The audio output is spectacular.

They come with covers they easily pop on and off with rubber stoppers. Sturdier than it sounds and looks great.
