Lewitt 640 REX Reviews

Great Kick Mic

The Lewitt DTP was the first mic to get me interested in Lewitt. The condenser and dynamic output tail first sparked my interest. I've used this mic on many different genres of music like rock, heavy metal and gospel. My kick always sounds good! A good thump with a crisp attack that can be adjusted to taste. I bought this mic with the Lewitt Beat Kit 7 package and it was one of the best gear purchases I've ever made!

question

How does it work with the dual elements and outputs? Are they on separate channels or is it a combined output?
Asked by: Anonymous
The outputs are always kept independent, on seperate channels, to give you maximum flexibility for your sound (i.e. the ability to blend, EQ, and apply effects like compression to the channels for the dynamic and condenser elements independently). The DTP-640-REX has a 5-pin XLR output, and ships with breakout cable that turns the 5-pin XLR output into two separate, color-coded normal (3-pin) XLR cables.
