Equipped with the System-on-Chip (SoC) products, the Fixed Network Dome Camera supports simultaneous dual streaming of MPEG-4 and MJPEG videos that provide high-quality and bandwidth efficient compression. In addition, the Fixed Network Dome Camera also supports multicast MPEG-4 streaming, which enables the user to view content with support from a multicast IP address on the network.
The Fixed Network Dome Camera enables 2-way audio by Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to communicate with visitors or potential intruders from the operator’s base station when an external microphone and speaker are connected. In addition, the Fixed Network Dome Camera allows you to set e-mail alert notifications. With Motion Detection feature, it records video when motion is detected. In addition, the camera offers digital I/O ports that allow you to connect to external devices such as an alarm or a light. The built-in Samba client can record directly on any NAS (Network Attached Storage) device.
With the D-ViewCam software, the Fixed Network Dome Camera allows you to monitor up to 32 cameras on a single computer screen and also adjust the image size and quality. It also allows you to set e-mail alert notifications and trigger motion detection to record directly to your hard drive. Using the software, you can also set recording schedules or upload a floor plan of your business. You can also create a layout of the locations of your cameras.
Supporting 3G mobile video, the Fixed Network Dome Camera enables you to view a live video data on a 3G mobile phone with a 3G video player capable of RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) in real-time anywhere within your 3GPP service area. The built-in Power over Ethernet (802.3af) supplies power to the camera from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets.
With a built-in 3-axis adjustment mechanism, the Fixed Network Dome Camera can be attached on to a wall or a ceiling mount discreetly. In addition, the camera features a tamper-resistant casing that ensures protection against tampering.
