A natural white, mould-made watercolor paper, Albrecht Durer from Hahnemuhle, available here as a 25-pack of 8.5 x 11" sheets, has a distinct textured surface that lends itself beautifully to fine art applications and reproductions. A premium matte inkjet coating ensures proper ink retention on the 50% cotton and 50% alpha cellulose base while also providing a high dynamic range and wide color gamut. Along with this, it has a basis weight of 210 gsm and a thickness of 13.8 mil as well as a rated opacity of 96.5% and a whiteness of 88.5%. Also, it does not use any optical brightening agents in order to grant archival properties and is both acid free and calcium carbonate buffered. Hahnemuhle Albrecht Durer Matte FineArt Reviews
Great matte paper
It is possible to push a lot of matte papers so that they dont mute the colors or the contrast on your images. This paper, to my delight, took a push very well so that the colors and contrasts are brilliant without looking over the top and over processed.
A Masterful Art Photo Paper
As a painter/photographer I am always looking to give my photo images a painterly quality that will endure. The natural white color renders my imges with warm natural coloration and its texture (like engraving or even watercolor papers)has made Hahnemuhler's Albrecht Durer inkjet paper my #1 choice for over four years. Though the sheets are substantial in weight they pass through my all purpose photo inkjet paper without any trouble. Albrecht Durer paper might be considered a little pricey at over one dollar per 8 1/2x 11 1/2 sheet but once my image is ready for printing I don't regret the cost; I consider it an overall excellent value.
would buy this product again and again
I use this product only for fine-art works
magic paper
I use this product to print samples of water colored renderings, event invitations, etc. for my clients at our design firm. The quality and texture gives our prints a professional and hand painted look. The paper is also very compatable with our inkjet printer. My only complaint about the paper is it's high cost!
Great paper for watercolor reproductions
I used this paper to print reproductions of watercolor paintings. The texture is an excellent match for the original paper. I printed using an Epson 3880, and the color fidelity and detail in the print was excellent. Folks had trouble distinguishing the prints from the original painting.
Superior fine art matte paper
One of my favorite papers for printing higher contrast black and white images. I LOVE the texture, but I initially thought it would be incompatible with some of my images. To my surprise it enhanced them. The paper is not as thick as many of the smooth matte papers but it still feels substantial and sturdy. Perhaps this is due to the mix of alpha-cellulose with cotton? I have not printed color images so cannot attest to that, but I expect I would not be disappointed. I highly recommend this paper.
