I purchased the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4S Lens for my Nikon Z5II camera. I think it a perfect lens for lots of use.

I took this lens and a Nikon Z f to Istanbul in a business trip and it did not disappoint a bit, both camera and lens are very good together the camera is a bit awkward to hand held due to mimicking the old film camera FM2 if your priority is the bokeh this lens might not be for you.

Low light

Low light
Asked by: Scott
The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens' low light performance is subjective, but relative to many other zoom choices, it is a great choice for most photographers, especially when paired with the IBIS systems found in the new Z-series cameras.

The specs say this lens has a programable ring. On my Z7, I have not been able to find the option to program the adjustment ring. I’ve found all the fn button options, but nothing about an adjustment ring. Is this just a misprint or am I missing something?

Starting on page 268 of the manual, F2 custom control assignment. Then on page 271, the lens can control manual or auto focus, aperture and exposure comp.

I want to buy a Cool-Lux Follow Focus Ring for this lens. What would be the right size?
Asked by: IVAN
The fit and ease of fitment will vary by the preferences of the user and the intended application. However, one option that some will find to fit the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens (B&H# NIZ24704) to their satisfaction is the Cool-Lux LuxGear Follow Focus Gear Ring (74 to 75.9mm) (B&H# COLG747): https://bhpho.to/3EIwNRW

Does this lens focus as smoothly as the f2.8 or does the focus step quite noticeably like the 14-30?
Asked by: Anonymous
Don't know about the 2.8, but it's not very good, definitely not as bad as the 14-30 though.
