Nearly every component is desktop-class, but sized to fit a portable frame. The ES9038PRO DAC offers 8 channels for pure audio reproduction, which is cleanly output to optional headphones of your choice with the AAA 788+ headphone amp. An amp that's co-developed with THX to output 3000mW of power per channel. Manage playback through the M17's 5.99" display and play your favorite tracks from onboard memory, an optional microSD card up to 2TB, or wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Desktop-Grade Gain
Under battery power there are 4 gain levels: low, medium, high, and headphone mode. When under DC mode, the enhanced over-ear headphone mode gain is unlocked, with a desktop level of amplification gain. In balanced output, gain can get as high as 16 dB.

Desktop-Quality Power Supply
The M17 has two power supplies: a battery power supply and a power supply powered by external DC power. The battery power supply lets you use the M17 where you have no access to an outlet. Under DC power, voltage in the analog circuit is increased by 35%, up to 11.5V, compared to battery power.
Desktop-Tier Heat Dissipation
The M17 adopts "H" type heat dissipation and VC liquid cooling, an internal cooling fan, and an aluminum alloy unibody frame. Together they work to rapidly transport heat away from the M17.
Physical Digital-Analog Separation
The M17 features 17 PCBs with an immersion gold finish, with analog and digital sections physically separated by being on two different boards. This design reduces interference between the two. Seven high-conductivity copper alloy shields provide additional reduction of internal and external electromagnetic interference on analog audio signals.
Volume Adjustment
The volume can be adjusted using the analog potentiometer knob or via buttons. You can go through 120 distinct volume levels with either method.
Ambient Light
The M17 features a 7-color RGB ambient light system with extensive customization options. Colors can be set to be either fixed, to follow the audio, or follow a cycle. The brightness of the light can be set to change depending on current power, volume, or temperature. Top and side lights can be controlled separately, allowing you to dial in exactly how you want your lights to look.
