Cotton Carrier Hand Strap Overview

The Cotton Carrier Hand Strap allows you to comfortably carry a DSLR in your hand and also connect it to a tripod via the included Arca-Swiss style quick-release plate. This quick-release plate attaches to the base of your DSLR via its 1/4"-20 threaded hole and can be easily clamped directly to a tripod. You can choose to attach another optional quick-release plate to the hand strap as well.

The Hand Strap features a touch-fastener strap which lets you quickly tighten or loosen your hand against the camera's body. For protection from scratches, a detachable rubber gasket on the hand strap lies between the quick-release plate and your camera. The Hand Strap is compatible with most DSLRs and tripods.

Can be configured with or without the rubber gasket to fit most cameras

This strap helps keep a secure hold on your camera.. I have had 11 hand surgeries, both thumbs joints replaced and various other surgeries, this strap helps tremendously!!! I use a full size Canon 6D with a 28-300 L-lens Thank you very much!!!

I had been using my gear handheld and have been looking at hand straps ... This strap was the least expensive of the ones I've looked at and decided it was worth a shot. I am so glad I did! It's completely what I was looking for ... Great quality, easy setup (even for my big mitt), extremely solid and secure feel and, oh ya, did I mention inexpensive? Cant beat it with a stick ... Well you could but you'd still be left with a tremendous hand strap. Can you tell I love it?

Yes, the Cotton Carrier Hand Strap features a 1/4 -20 thread that allows you to attach your camera to a tripod while still having the hand grip attached.

How long is the Arca plate and will it attach to the tripod head with a Cotton Carrier Flat hub attached 1/4-20 thread?

The Arca-Swiss style plate included with the Cotton Carrier Hand Strap is 2.0 in long. The Cotton Carrier CCS Flat Camera Hub will prevent the plate from attaching to a tripod head.

The Cotton Carrier Hand Strap is adjustable. You can extend it to fit taller cameras and/or cameras with an optional battery grip.

With the plate on bottom to attach to a area style plate I have either Kirk or RRS l brackets on my cameras, will this hand strap hook to my tripod from the l brackets?

I have the strap attached to the bottom of camera. It does have a tripod hole to attach to anything that usesthe correct screw. I don't attach to tripod, but attach my lens to the tripod. I use this for Telephoto work almost 100%. Hope this helps

I would want to use this strap with a Manfrotto QR instead of the suppied Arca Swiss QR. Has anyone tried this? Does it work well? Is the Manfrotto screw long enough to work with the rubber gasket? I use a 5d Mark iii. Does the battery cover get blocked?

I use mine with a Manfrotto QR on a Nikon D7000 and it works better than the supplied QR. On my camera, I can access the battery compartment, but does become a two handed job. Less convenient, but not terribly so.

I just got it and didn't try it yet but I see no reason why it won't work. I am sure it will and it will help holding the camera securly while taking it out of the holder.
