I'm very dissatisfied with this contact printing frame. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, there just aren't that many other options. First, the quality isn't great. It arrived with scratches etched into the glass. This was not a B&H problem, as their packaging seemed really good. It looks like something that happened at the factory. Additionally, it does not hold a negative/transparency to the paper uniformly, so prints are blurry in spots if you're not careful. There just isn't much tension applied at the back. I have to jam other material in to give it better "contact". Very disappointed.

Great frame

Does this frame have enough depth to hold a photopolymer plate?
Asked by: Carolyn
The Photographers' Formulary Select Contact Print Frame (11 x 14") is for making contact prints in the darkroom. The back presses tight to the glass to hold the negatives flat against the front glass. If the photopolymer plate has more depth than a sheet of darkroom paper, it will not fit.

No, the frame is made for thinner material and might actually break a glass negative.
