Works great, Fits Canon R3, Canon 1DX MKIII with EF 24-105 f4, 70-200 f2.8 (with adapter on R3) and RF 24-240. Just make slight adjustments to fit your camera lens combo

Better than pro media gear

Nice unit. Fold up super compact. Can be used with just camera or with battery extender to attached. All the screws are the same, unlike the pro media gear which I had to bring like three different Allen keys. However, there is no Allen key holder like the pro media gear... It's a little tough to rotate the flash and the unit is still beefy. I think the rotation will ease up a bit over time. The stand is nice and the fact you can attach your camera strap, if it's a screw on, to the side of the unit so you can sit it down is a nice touch, instead of the bottom of the pro media gear. If you're shooting something that needs a more compact rig, this is a good way to go. I shoot red carpet events and this is the unit everyone uses. I've been told Pro Media Gear is more for weddings. PMG was more fun to use, way better build quality, but it's long, and cumbersome. This even fits in my bag way easier. I recommend if you need it, but if you don't, It still adds bulk to your camera. I hate shooting vertical if I can help it, so with events, I'd just skip that and put the flash on the body.

Would I be able to use this on a Canon R3 with a Canon RF 28-70mm F2 lens?
Asked by: Francis
Using the Custom Brackets Rapid Fire PRO Flash Rotating Bracket on the Canon R3 camera with the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8 lens is a tight fit. It does work, but the rotating ring rubs against the focus ring of the lens. This might leave cosmetic damage on the focus ring of the lens after extended use.

This is the closest you can get to a bracket that doesn't feel like you are using a bracket. i recommend this short 18 inch cable to attach flash to hotshoe. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1335999-REG/vello_ocs_nk15_1_5_ttl_off_camera_cord.html

will this fit a Canon R3 with a 24-105mm f4 lens, or will it rub the rotating ring?
Asked by: Michael
The Custom Brackets Rapid Fire PRO Flash Rotating Bracket with 1/4"-20 Mount does not rub the focus ring of the Canon 24-105mm f4 lens. That lens is not wide enough to have that issue. It will work with the Canon R3 with a 24-105mm f4 lens.
