Have you ever wished that your lens could focus closer than it does? Imagine that you could put a magnifying glass in front of your camera's lens. Close-up lenses work in this fashion and are the simplest and least expensive method of close-up photography. They are available in different "powers" (diopters). Rolleinar are close-up lenses which attach to the front of Twin Lens Cameras lenses. They are made in Bay 1,2,3 and 4 filter sizes, there are 2 lenses in a Rolleinar set one for the taking lens the other for the viewing lens.Rolleinars are available in three focal lengths:.35,.70,1,2 and 3 These lenses are used individually close focus. The maximum magnification achieved with these attachments will depend on the focal length of your cameras lens as well as the actual close focusing capability of Rolleinar lens. Use of the Rolleinar does not alter the exposure so you can use the lens setting obtained from your normal exposure meter.
NOTE: With an 80mm camera lens:
A Rolleinar 0.5 provides a focusing range of: 43.5 - 61.7cm (17 1/4 - 24 1/2")
A Rolleinar 1.0 provides a focusing range of: 55.8 - 107cm (22 1/4 - 42 1/2")
A Rolleinar 2.0 provides a focusing range of: 68 - 213cm (26 3/4 - 83 3/4
