The AP-502 Replacement Lens Foot from Wimberley replaces the stock foot on Nikon lenses. More specifically, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens and the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens. The AP-502 is precision machined to slide right into an Arca-type quick release clamp. It also has 1/4" and 3/8" tapped holes for mounting to non-quick release tripod heads and monopods. It features the same dual safety stops and flash bracket compatibility as the lens plates. These feet are not compatible with most Manfrotto or Gitzo clamps.

More DetailsWimberley AP-502 Overview
This custom low-profile replacement foot replaces the factory foot on the rotation collar of your lens and serve as the Arca-type quick release plate for your lens. No additional quick release plate is needed. It makes your lens handle better on a conventional tripod head, such as a ball head, and makes it easier to pack.
Wimberley uses finite element analysis validated by empirical data to design their feet. This process allows Wimberley to optimize the weight to stiffness ratio. Other manufacturers often reduce weight by removing material in ways that are convenient for the machining process or aesthetic design while ignoring stiffness performance resulting in rigidity below our quality standards.
