The head's integrated flat base features a 3/8"-16 mounting thread and attaches to an included half-ball adapter that installs into the tripod's 60mm bowl. The flat base also makes the removable head directly compatible with most sliders, jibs, and cranes, allowing you to easily move it between the tripod legs and these optional supports.
