Bosch VG4-524-ECS0C Overview

The Bosch AutoDome 500i Intelligent PTZ Camera System (24 VAC, Corner Mount) includes a 36x day/night PTZ camera with a 3.4-122.4 mm lens, an outdoor pendant enclosure, a corner mount and a clear bubble. With a 1/4” Exview HAD CCD image sensor, the PTZ camera delivers clear images at resolutions up to 540 TVL.

With WDR function, the PTZ camera corrects extreme lighting environments marked by high-contrast and harsh backlit scenes. Integrated Autoscaling (proportional zoom) and Autopivot features allow the camera to automatically rotate and flip, ensuring optimal control. A removable IR cut filter enables the PTZ camera to switch between color and B&W as per the changes in ambient lighting. SensUp Control enhances the sensitivity by automatically reducing the shutter speed to 1 second.

Coupled with advanced DSP, the camera provides smooth tracking of images, enabling real-time video processing. Supporting up to 10 individual regions of interest, Video Motion Detection triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. Furthermore, the camera supports virtual masking to ignore areas of unwanted motion. Image Stabilization technique reduces blurring of images where the camera is subject to high frequency vibrations.

The AutoDome PTZ camera uses rules-based logic to manage alarms where the rule defines which input activates which output. In addition, inputs and outputs with pre-defined and user-specified keyboard commands can be combined for performing advanced dome functions, and ensure that the standard software is ready to use for any application. Moreover, the camera can handle 7 alarm inputs including 2 analog inputs that are programmed for EOLR (End-of-Line Resistor) supervision for real-time security applications. The system also supports 3 outputs where 1 relay is rated at 2A, and 3 additional open collectors are for driving external devices.

Supporting 2 recording tours with up to 15 minutes recording duration, the camera can record the operator’s movements such as PTZ activities, which can be played back continuously. The preset tour feature is capable of handling 99 pre-positions with a configurable dwell time between pre-positions as well as customizing the order and frequency of each preset. The AutoDome has 360° per second pan/tilt speeds, and supports 99 pre-positions and 2 styles of guard tours - preset and record/playback.

Privacy Masking is used to mask specific portions of a scene for security reasons and up to 8 masks can be displayed on the same scene where each masked area can be programmed with 3, 4, or 5 corners to hide more complex shapes. Furthermore, the camera gives you a choice of colors including black and white as well as allows you to blur the image that is required to be covered.

The optional hybrid/IP configuration allows the camera to simultaneously stream IP video via LAN or WAN, and CVBS video via coaxial cabling. It also enables you to send network video streams over IP network, which can be viewed on the DiBos Digital Video Recorder, or on a PC running VIDOS video management software. Equipped with a tri-streaming feature, the camera provides independent streams simultaneously. It allows you to stream high-quality images for live viewing and recording at a reduced frame rate, and can simultaneously stream images to a remote PDA device.

With the innovative CTFID (Configuration Tool for Imaging Devices), you can remotely change the camera’s settings as well as update firmware. The advanced built-in diagnostics ensure easy servicing, and minimize downtime. You can use the OSD to quickly check the critical parameters such as internal temperature and input voltage level and verify if the dome is functioning within acceptable operating limits. With standard communications (Coax, UTP), the camera supports various standard video and data transmission methods such as Bilinx (over coax and UTP) remote control, configuration, and firmware updates.

Equipped with an IP66-rated outdoor pendant enclosure, the camera is suitable for operating in temperatures ranging from -40 to 122°F (-40 to 50°C). The camera system includes a rugged clear bubble for enhanced image clarity with a recessed bubble latch to prevent vandalism. It draws power from a 120 VAC power supply.
