B+W 66-1069135 Overview

  • 1Description

The B+W 46mm MRC 103M ND 0.9 Filter is a neutral density filter with a 8x filter factor that provides a {stopcount}-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.9 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes eight layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. B+W filters are constructed from SCHOTT glass for increased optical clarity. This filter features a brass filter ring for durability as well as to prevent jamming.

46mm MRC 103M ND 0.9 Filter (3-Stop) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the doctor ordered I needed this filter to shoot at f/1.4 using a Leica Summilux lens. This filter does the trick and its quality matches that of my lenses. If you buy B+W ND filters, get the MRC series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 3 Stop ND filter Bought this to use with my Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH to shoot wide open during the day. Works AWESOME!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from German quality with reasonable price I was looking for quality replacement of PolarPro set of filters for Inspire 1 Pro camera. I discovered that PolarPro filters exhibits heavy yellow-ish image coloration. This ND filter does the job much better with just a hint of palatable cooling effect, very suitable for hot sunny days. The only minor problem is weight: brass housing with front thread for stacking translates to 18.9 G, therefore some camera balancing may be required to avoid extra stress on gimbal servomotors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with this German Glass The multi-coated B+W filters rock. I started using them this year. Have 0.3, 0.6 and this 0.9. I noticed I was starting to get some glare and reflection on a cheaper brand ND filter I was using. A used lens I purchased had a B+W filter on it and I noticed the great quality so went from there. I will probably stay with this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ND8x Filter A must for using f/1.4 in the daytime. ND8x ISO160 max.1s/4000 is JUST OK for using f/1.4 on a sunny day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does the job I bought this to enable shooting wide open outdoors. This neutral density filter makes that possible without any focus or color shift that I can detect. Not surprised at that as I've used other B+W filters and they've all been top of the line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have purchased one of these for all of my lenses Excellent build and quality optics, cuts 3 stops of light allowing for wide open shooting in daylight or slowing shutter speeds for various effects.
