The Matrix Switch HD-SDI Matrix Switcher (8 x 16) receives 8 inputs and distributes them across 16 outputs. It supports HD-SDI signals with audio and allows a clean pass through for the embedded audio signal. Digital video automatic cable equalization and re-clocking technology is employed for enabling a clean signal output.
Up to 10 preset settings can be stored by the matrix switcher using a non-volatile memory, allowing you to recall those settings whenever needed. Vertical interval switching helps you to seamlessly switch between various sources, eliminating any glitches or loss of data. Re-clocking and bypassing is supported for data rates from 19 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps, which help in reducing the jitter induced over long cable runs or from unstable sources of standard data rate signals.
A built-in webpage allows you to configure the router very easily and can run on any platform with any web browser. Supporting TCP/IP Ethernet protocol, you can flexibly place, quantify and network the switcher using remote control panels. The protocol also eliminates the distance limit between the panels and the switcher electronics.
The RS232 ASCII protocol is employed for controlling the switcher, which is supported by a number of third party control systems. The switcher also has easy to use control ports. In addition, the switcher features forced air cooling that ensures low internal temperatures for long service life in the harshest of environments.
The matrix switcher has many applications, some of which include TV stations, mobile units, post production facilities and portable flyaway production equipment.
