The Midland HH54VP Portable Emergency Weather Alert Radio is the perfect portable companion for alerting you to incoming weather emergencies, hazardous conditions and a variety of other hazards. It's easy to use, affords instant access to weather and features S.A.M.E Technology, which allows you to receive alerts and warnings for your designated area. You can store up to nine programmable county codes for added flexibility and convenience as well. The HH54VP is equipped with seven preset weather channels, a frequency band between 162.400 and 162.550 MHz, color coded alert indicators, and an alarm clock with snooze function. It's also equipped with a belt clip for convenient carrying options, an LCD screen with continuous backlighting option, and user selectable alert types. You can choose voice, display or tone alert types. Plus, the radio features silent programming and ten reviewable alerts.

The HH54VP helps you avoid hazardous conditions in a variety of ways. It features Alert Override to automatically warn you of hazardous conditions - even when your radio is on standby mode. It has an All Hazards Alert function as well. This provides a number of other emergency announcements besides weather conditions. It alerts you to a child abduction (Amber Alert) emergency; a nuclear power plant warning; a biological hazard warning; a civil emergency message; a fire warning and even a landslide warning. In all, the HH54VP receives over 60 alerts. With such a variety of hazard alerts and weather warnings, the HH54VP Radio is sure to keep you informed if an emergency is happening in your area. As an added safety feature, three AA alkaline batteries can be installed for emergency power back-up, if the rechargeable battery dies.
