Battery Adapter Didn't Fit 7d!!

I don't know how everyone else got this thing to work, but I'm a very technical filmmaker, and this device would NOT touch the battery pins in my 7D, no matter what I did. It is totally useless to me, and cannot be returned. A warning to all: try it as SOON AS YOU GET it, so you will not waste $ like I did.

This cord is way overpriced for what it is. However, in order to wear the heavy battery on my hip or over my shoulder and have the ability to use it with different cameras or devices I can't have the battery mounted to the bottom of the camera.

In the description, it says it covers the original Canon 5D, but then it mentions that it is for the LP-E6 batteries which are not for the original 5D. I am confused. I need it for a 5D Mark 2 and Mark 3. Does it support these cameras?

It works perfectly with my 5D M2. The same batteries are used in the M3 and I assume it will work perfectly for that camera as well.
