The Signature Series Vocal Collection from Waves brings together four vocal processing chains designed by four leading producer/engineers. Each has developed an extensive palette of personal processing techniques, which are encapsulated in these Signature Series plug-ins.
The Maserati VX1 is a compact package for full vocal control, whether squeezing the most emotion out of a subtle performance, or engulfing it in a room with a full band production. Three contours provide a studio or small venue room, a larger chamber with reflective pre-delays (most suited for slow ballads), and a set up for quicker tempo songs with a very small room and matching pre-delay.
The Eddie Kramer Vocal Channel allows the user to position the vocals within the mix, and then blend it back into the track, without it popping out, in such a way that it retains all its original clarity and presence. The plug-in features two flavors, Vocals 1 designed for classic rock vocals with a lot of dynamic range and intensity, and Vocals 2 for gentler vocal performances that stay at smoother, steadier levels.
The CLA Vocals plug-in makes mixing vocals easy and works great on all styles of singers. Each of the six effects - bass, treble, compression, reverb, delay, and chorusing/doubling - have three flavors available.
JJP Vocals approaches vocal mixing from a more intuitive standpoint with controls that are descriptive rather than specific. The plug-in features three vocal modes - Male, Male 2, and Female.
