This Atomos Ninja for Component Video Output Kit from B&H is intended for users of older HD/HDV cameras that do not have HDMI output, such as the Canon XH A1 or the Sony FX1. The kit consists of an Atomos Ninja Video Hard Disk Recorder and a KanexPro Component to HDMI Audio/Video Converter. Together these two items allow you to record the component HD (and audio) output from your HD or HDV camera as 1080p30/25, 1080i60/59.94/50, or 720p60/59.94/50 ProRes files directly to 2.5" hard disk or solid state drives. (The Atomos Ninja includes a drive caddy, but drives themselves are sold separately.)
The converter and the Atomos Ninja breathe new life into your older – yet still highly capable – HD camcorder by allowing you to adopt a tapeless workflow and record high-quality ProRes files while bypassing the camera's compression.
This kit also includes the Red Giant B&H Production Bundle, which is a compilation of several software suites and plug-ins that's designed to enhance the look of your recorded video.
