Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (105W / 120V) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Lamp! I really have no complaints about these. I own three and I am purchasing more. My only gripe is that the size is a bit much for most situations, but if you have a studio or space to shoot, you can't beat the color accuracy and output. I use these mainly for my product shoots, but they work well in a large softbox for portraits as well. When I shoot portraits outdoors, I run two of these from my car battery with no problem at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Bright Steady Cool-running Light I use two of these each in an Impact Single Fluorescent Fixture. A single one of these shot through an umbrella is enough light for a moody shot at ISO200 on my BlackMagic design Cinema Camera. Two of these through umbrellas is PLENTY of light for a single subject. A joy to use actually because I do not have to worry about them getting that hot. Keep the packaging and with care you can transport them safely. I have only used this light with an umbrella, not a softbox, but I'm very happy with it. In terms of warmth they are pretty neutral but that is exactly what I am looking for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good light perfect for small studio I shoot newborns, so I do not do flashes, and I do not do hot lights. This is a great bulb for continuous lighting in a small studio to complement daylight. It is 5000K, and small enough to manage on a small tripod with small to med sized softbox. I have 2 of them and upgrading to these from the smaller 50W enabled me to shoot at much lower ISOs, without changing anything else in my set-ups. And the price is very affordable. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I used them years ago I use four in in the umbrella hanging above my work, which is photographing jewelry. The 105's allow for a more comfortable working distance, light to subject distance while retaining color integrity as well as rearranging pieces with moving things out of way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am going to buy more of these for all my softbox lights I am so happy with the amount of wattage this uses for the amount of BRIGHTNESS this product provides. I was very unhappy with the bulbs I was using previously. Too dim, which resulted in making my clients uncomfortable because I had to place the lights so close to their faces to get decent lighting. This solves the dim problem and the problem with my client's discomfort!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light is Worth the Price This is a great fluorescent lamp. The size is a bit daunting so make sure you have a strong enough light stand and fixture to house the lamp. It emits great and consistent light. Just remember to balance your camera setting or you'll get a blueish hue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Videographers Dream!! I use these bulbs with regular reflectors I get * when I do my shoots. I appreciate two things about them...1, they are super bright without being super hot to the touch, which means I don't have to wait forever before I can pack them when shooting is done...2, they don't present the risk of blowing out clients' circuit breakers in the process. A little pricey, but well worth the extra coinage! I'll NEVER go back to halogens!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big & Bright! This is one big bulb, but it gets the job done. I'm using it to light a backdrop for product photos and it's perfect.
