This SWITCH by Design Studio Lid is custom made for Dell Inspiron R Series Notebooks. Only the 2011 Inspiron R Notebooks have a replaceable lid latch that is compatible with SWITCH by Design Studio lids. Also, this particular lid is for 17" versions of the Inspiron R Series. The form-fitting lid latches into the top of the notebook perfectly, which give it the same look and feel of a permanent notebook lid.
