The General Electric KTD-83 Data Signal Distributor, designed for use in a Digiplex system, distributes RS422 data signals along separate lines of 2-conductor, twisted-pair cable. A signal input can be distributed among up to 6 RS422 outputs.
On outputs 2 through 6, the RS422 Data Signal Distributor re-amplifies RS422 signals that must travel excessive distances between the controller and receiver. Cable connections are made on a removable, 14-position terminal strip.
