Cisco SPA501G overview

  • 1Description

The Cisco SPA501G Basic 8-Line IP Phone with PoE, part of the Cisco Small Business Pro Series, is a feature rich IP phone that has been tested to ensure comprehensive interoperability with equipment from voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure leaders, enabling service providers to quickly roll out services to their customers.

With hundreds of features and configurable service parameters, the Cisco SPA501G caters to the needs of traditional business users with features such as easy station moves and shared line appearances (across local and geographically dispersed locations).

The Cisco SPA501G uses standard encryption protocols to perform highly secure remote provisioning and unobtrusive in-service software upgrades. Remote provisioning tools include detailed performance measurement and troubleshooting features, enabling network providers to deliver high-quality support to their subscribers. Remote provisioning also saves service providers the time and expense of managing, preloading and reconfiguring customer premises equipment.

    Cisco SPA501G reviews

Basic 8-Line IP Phone with PoE is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 out of 5 stars After getting this IP phone to work with any regular SIP provider, it works like a charm. But before getting it to work you will need to do some research on the internet, cause the manual at hand is for end users and not for administering the phone. So after having a rather large search on the internet I was able to maintain a copy of the administrator manual to get it to work properly... Oh and also there is no clear indication that this phone does NOT come with an adapter. Had to find out after opening the package and reading the specs at B&H. Not even listed at recommended accessories :(
