It provides autofocusing before shutter release, and a lock-in function for continuous shutter release and bulb exposure function. It will also transmit through walls, and has a maximum range of 240' (73 m). The push-button control can also operate as a short distance cable release.

A four-digit code selector switch, built into the transmitter and receiver, allows individual codes to be set to eliminate interference from other sources.
