N-Vision Optics G15HM Night Vision Binocular
Key Features
  • Two 3rd Generation Intensifiers
  • Separable Into Two GT-14 Monoculars
  • Infrared Illuminator
  • Helmut Mount
The G15HM Night Vision Binocular from N-Vision Optics takes the concept of night vision one step further by offering two GT-14 monoculars in this well engineered design form. Binocular night vision viewing offers a comfortable viewing experience full of depth and accurate perspective. Not only do you feel the experience of true stereoscopic viewing, you also get the light intensification performance from dual premium 3rd generation intensifiers. Depth perception and well detailed resolution are mission critical factors, and the G15 comes through in spades.

Because this device is comprised of two individual night vision monoculars, you can easily separate the two so as to use them individually. Separated monoculars, hand-held, head or helmet mounting is possible with the appropriate attaching devices. A helmet mount is included. The helmet mount allows the G15HM to be attached directly to a PASGT or ACH/MICH helmet. The mount includes flip-up/flip-down capability, front-and-back, and tilt adjustments. Weapon mounting is possible with a single monocular when the attaching rail mount is in place (not included). Still or video recording is possible as well, when the included video adapter is installed and attached to your camera. The high performance and maximum versatility of the G15 night vision binocular are huge tactical advantages that will give you the edge you need to overcome all obstacles. The device is submersible to a depth of 6.5 feet / 2 meters and is equipped with a short range infrared illuminator that is invisible to the human eye.

There are many different variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and this varies by manufacturer, so ultimately the generation of the intensifier tube is much more relevant than any quoted statistic when determining the maximum viewing range.

All night vision devices sold by B&H have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. No matter what, bright light in any form is not good for the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
