B-Grip BGREVO overview

  • 1Description

The B-Grip EVO Camera Belt Grip is an innovative mount for fastening a DSLR or small video camera to your person. Now you can transport your camera hands-free as you walk or run, without the swinging and jostling that camera straps permit. This is the successor to the original B-Grip; the EVO version features advanced materials, improved safety features, and extra slots for attaching additional straps.

The B-Grip EVO has slots that accept a belt (the included belt or most other belts) or a strap. Simply thread the belt or strap through the B-Grip mount, attach the quick release plate to your DSLR camera or compact camcorder, and easily connect the plate to the mount. You're suddenly able to keep both hands free as you move with your camera attached fast to your hip, ready for shooting with a flip of the quick release lever.

Add any accessories you want to the camera – batteries, a flash, a long lens – the B-Grip EVO is designed to support up to 17.6 lb safely.

B-Grip EVO's extra belt/strap loops accommodate an additional strap (not included) for added stability. With a second strap, fasten the low-hanging part the B-Grip's base to your leg for a "Han Solo look" that will engender a corresponding measure of rakish confidence in the security of your gear
Thumbscrew on the baseplate encircled by a removable rubber stopper to prevent your camera coming loose after heavy movement and/or strenuous activity
The B-Grip EVO's WDS (Weight Discharge System) is now further reinforced with a fiberglass loaded techno-polymer that keeps the weight light and lends an ultra-solid feel of support
Easy-to-use safety thumb lock that prevents an accidental release of the baseplate
Quick release plate fits most standard DIN 4503-2 tripod heads
The quick release plate's flip-out piece creates a larger support base, for stability when you set down the camera
Mount a camera on the B-Grip EVO with the sensor facing upward, and you can easily change lenses in the field using two hands – without squatting or fumbling
B-Grip EVO mount is flat-bottomed, so in a pinch you can use it as a tabletop camera mount
Mount accepts other straps besides the included belt; use a backpack's chest strap, for instance
Front lip of the mount forms a ring, so you can hang the camera and mount from a wall hook or carry the assembly by the lip
Manufactured in Europe to exacting standards, B-Grip EVO is constructed from high-quality materials and will provide years of reliable service. B-Grip stands behind the product with a limited lifetime warranty

    B-Grip BGREVO reviews

EVO Camera Belt Grip is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better then I imagined This little strap kit is better then I thought it would be. I was expecting a plastic somewhat cheap feel to this and as soon as I pulled it out of the box I was impressed. I used a canon 7d with several L lens so the weight is definitely there and it feels very sturdy and safe when locked in place. I am however used to working with objects hooked to my belt, if your not it will take a little getting used too. I highly recommend this product, it distributes the weight so much better then wearing a neck strap, and knowing it's locked to your side and not going to swing around like some of the other brands is a great feeling when moving around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from no more neck or back pain I do a lot of car show photography and this will keep camera from swaying on a strap. Keeps camera very handy as opposed to holster cases which seem to collapse when camera removed, making it difficult to return camera to case. Will use in a few months when traveling to Europe when carrying camera for extended lengths of time. Have used it while biking and it kept camera very secure. Did not bounce around, but was always at the ready. the reason I did not give 5 stars as it takes some time to get comfortable working fastening system as you more or less do it without seeing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well I actually bought this product to use with the Travel Kit which attaches the piece here to a backpack strap. The clip is secure, stable, durable, and works very well. The only problem I had with it is that the product description with the Travel Kit stated that it included the base plate, which it did not, so you must buy this piece in order to use the travel kit. I have not yet used the belt yet, so I cannot comment on that. I used the product when backpacking in the mountains in Idaho, and the clip was great for safely carrying my camera with the travel kit. I used it to carry my Canon Rebel T4i with an 18-135mm lens and a battery grip on it with no problems. Overall, a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock steady freedom shoot I like to go out and have my camera gear on me all day on trekking and shooting projects. This system is the best I found after a few other options that makes the camera as secure and steady as it's accessible. You can add other independent accessories because of the belt design. Each part can be moved around the belt easily though it wont move on its own under regular use. Extra thoughts on the design makes the camera base stand flat on any level surface transforming it in a tripod. The main interest however is the long bracket supporting and spreading the camera weight along the thigh preventing the lens from biting back while walking. I simply cannot think of anything not great about this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect, But I love it.... I purchase this item because I do not like having the camera around my neck majority of the time. I would strongly recommend that you do keep the camera neck strap on the camera and wrapped around your hand in case you are like me and feel nervous about dropping the camera when inserting the into the belt clip. The only dislike I have with the belt grip is when I am using my own belt and not the provided strap. The top of B-Grip will ride into my side and feel very uncomfortable. Not an issue using the provided strap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not if you want to use a flash I liked the concept of this and the price was right. Some reviewers said it hurt their leg after a while and I can see where that could happen with some. Seems well built and secure, esp with the rubber plug that keeps the screw key from turning - excellent touch! I sent it back because I realized with a flash on it the flash would stick straight out and that just wasn't going to work. I admit that I should have realized that before buying it. Also they need to make a version with a swiss-arcus plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pretty convenient I used this product to carry my Nikon D7000 with an 18 - 200 lens on it during a week long tour through Europe. Worked well. Easy to handle. you will needed to move it from your side to front when travelling on buses or trains where it is not as comfortable, but it moves back to the side when you get off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lets me dance! So i mainly shoot music festivals and concerts with my 1D 70-200 set up. That set up is heavy! 6lbs minus acccesories hanging from your neck = not much fun. Plus its not like I'm shooting photos every second, I also like to dance to the music. It is awkward dancing with my camera hanging from my neck, so i have to hold it up to dance. That gets real tireing too. I foud the solution in teh EVO belt grip! I just holster my camera like I would a revolver and it holds it in place for me to dance! Just make sure you also tie down the bottom part of the grip if you have a long lens like mine, it'll prevent it from swaying from the momentum of the camera. I do wish the belt it came with was not black - black is the most boring and uglies color! I strap the grip to mine own belt and problem solved.
