This is a great little ball head. Multi-adjustable and holds a Canon 580EX flash with a 12 softbox attached.Would definitely recommend.

Ideal for lighting units that have hot shoes and no screw on

This is ideal for lighting units that have hot shoes but no screw on feature. Simply, slide in the light into the cold shoe, then secure it with the adjustment wheel. Then connect the light to the ball head as usual. Perfect for the Lowel Go Lite. On caveat. This ball head ONLY can hold a weight of two lbs. Anything else is a gamble. Other wise, the ball holds well. Well made. Good price.

question

Hi, I intend to replace heavy Glidecam L7 Pro monitor on the glide cam system with small Aputure monitor. I am wondering, whether the cold shoe (is any cold shoe as a single product being offered at all?) is robust enough to accommodate for the monitor and whether it is metal or plastics. Tx for prompt assistance and feedback. Martin

It is metal, but not robust enough to hold heavy products

question

will this fit my Sony DCR-VX2100 3CCD MiniDV?
Asked by: Anonymous
It would fit. I just would not recommand this for anything larger than a palm size, light weight device. The ball head simply was not designed to hold its positions under stress of torque of a pound or so.

question

Will this work with the SmallHD 701 lite?
Asked by: Jacob L.
If it will screw on to the lite it should work for what you want to do with it.
